He has said that the conditions of soldiers must urgently improve so that the problem does not deepen further.
“The main reason for these evacuations is the difficult financial situation and poor conditions. To address this situation, there must be urgent intervention in certain areas:
1. Rising wages to dignified levels for soldiers, officers
2. Improving working conditions and infrastructure.
3. Offering additional benefits as better health insurance and housing support.
4. Establish opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
These changes would significantly improve the lives of soldiers and reduce the need for secondary jobs or departure from service”, Commander Brahimaj said.
The evacuation of soldiers from the KSF could negatively affect the new competition the Defence Ministry has opened, the commander says.
However, Brahimaj says trust must be rebuilt to become part of our defence.
“As far as new applications are concerned, the current situation may have negatively affected. However, I invite the youth to join the KSF. It is of great importance to rebuild trust and promote the will to join our army. I also take the opportunity to appeal to all current KSF members to stay in service. We who have been bearers of the Liberation War, whose values are inherited by the KSF, are committed to changing this situation and creating better conditions for soldiers.
Even Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Chairman Ramush Haradinaj, has expressed concern about the departure, as he says, mass KSF soldiers over the past two years.
I'm seriously concerned with this catastrophic treatment that Government is doing to our Army, which we could very well have mandated in 2018”, wrote the AAK leader.
Just hours after AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj said that for two years some 500 soldiers have left KSF, the defence minister, Ejup MacedoniaHe reacted.
Macedonian through a Facebook post, texted Haradinaj, writing <x0..." Always loyal, always soldier!”
In that form he has chosen to also call to apply to become part of the Kosovo Army. /Periscopi
