“more expensive than in America”, citizens complain about food products prices

Prices of certain food products in the country continue to rise constantly. In this regard, citizens who say their lives are getting heavier and heavier every day at high prices, complain because of their low income, while demanding that responsible institutions take steps.

On the green market in Pristina, citizens this week have paid up to 1 euro per kilogram in some vegetables, until they express concern about the phenomenon. The same are estimated by economic experts who say Kosovo continues to face high inflation. Citizens Xhemailladin Arifi, who is temporarily located in Kosovo, says prices are high compared to the income citizens receive in our country.

And until you compare prices to where you live, America to Kosovo, it says some products there are cheaper.

Another citizen, Drita Kazazi, complains about high prices, until he says that with a pension of 100 euros, it is hard to make it. Likewise, another citizen who tries to make a pension, Skender Jashar, says the prices are high. He adds that they are waiting for retirement to be supplied with vegetables, as he says it is already the time of pickles.

Meanwhile, economic connoisseurs until they ask institutions to provide social protection even in terms of food, which is important to the lives of citizens, say that over the past three years, this phenomenon has taken alarming proportions.
