DAS: Albania has made excellent progress in fighting corruption

The SPAK job is a positive signal for foreign investors who want to expand their activity in Albania.

So said the U.S. State Department Country Director for South and Central Europe Collins Hyland during the Economic Conference for the Western Balkans in Tirana, writes Tvklam.al.

I think Albania has made excellent advances in fighting corruption, which comes as a consequence of the SPAK's activity that has done an extraordinary job and earned citizens' trust. It is also a strong signal for foreign investment, and above all it is important for joining the EU”, Hyland said.

Meanwhile, according to the UN representative, establishing a regional market serves as a step towards integration into the European Union.

“Meth with importance also trade co-operation for the region's development, so not only Albania's, but even wider. This is an important part for these countries to prepare for becoming part of the European family's common market”, she said further.

According to US State Department representative Albania cannot progress alone, so it guaranteed the support of the United States of America at every step.
