Kosovo Post has called on citizens to be careful not to fall prey to an SMS fraud being sent to them by unknown parties.
Through an announcement, he has directed that no link be clicked on that text. It has further clarified that Posta does not require personal data or bank numbers, thus appealing for caution from messages with such requests that may be sent to citizens.
The post office described this as an attack, but it has provided no further information.
Kosovo's “Post reports the public not to fall prey to a fraud. Unknown parties are sending SMS citizens, posing in the name of the Kosovo Post. Immediately after it was announced, the Kosovo Post has informed competent bodies and is co-operating with them. Dear citizens, please do not click any link sent through these messages and do not cooperate with numbers that are not of the Kosovo Post. In no case, the Kosovo Post will ask you for personal data or number of bank cartels. Other posts in the region were also attacked by similar perpetrators”, the announcement said.
