The ministry said the exercises “United Veriu -2024” will be held in the Sea of Japan and the Okotski Sea, but did not provide more details.
The report said sea and air exercises are intended to improve strategic co-operation between the two states and “strengthening capacity to together face security threats”.
The Chinese ministry also said that the two navys will sail together into the Pacific for the fifth time, and will jointly participate in exercises “Great Ocean-24” to be held in Russia. But no more details were provided for such training.
