“can confirm that the envelope contained a bullet, which was sent to the address of Slovakia's prime minister”, was said by the Slovak prime minister's information office, to broadcast Telegrafi.
The Zarfi is currently being examined by the Slovak office staff for the protection of public officials and diplomatic missions.
In May, Fico was shot in the town of Handlova after a meeting he had with officials of his cabinet.
Witnesses at the scene said that Ficos was approached by people greeting him and that was when several shots were heard. The prime minister ended up down on the ground.
He was injured in chest and abdominal, while his condition was heavy for weeks.
The attempted suicide was conducted by 71-year-old Juraj Cintula, who may be linked to the pro-Russian paramilitary group Slovenski Branci.
