On the date 13,09,2024 The Border Police Unit from DDRPK “West” in Gjakova, during implementation of an operational plan, following operational and investigative work in a remote mountain area, specifically at the border belt with Albania, has located the location where narcotic plants were allegedly cultivated. The border specialised units, together with the Gjakova Antidroga unit, have gone to the suspected location and found two parcels at the scene, in which 150 suspected narcotic plants (Sativatans) were planted with a length of 1 to 2m. Kosovo police have also communicated with the Albanian Republic Police and in co-ordination with the same has become the security of the area's external perimeter at the Kosovo border line/ Albania by air and land”, police have announced.
All actions related to the case have been carried out in co-ordination with the Constitutional Prosecution in Gjakova, the case “Narcotic plant selection” has been initiated, the extermination of narcotic plants at the scene.
