Kosovo Hospital Clinical and University Service (SHSKUK) has reported increasing the number of cases requiring medical treatment after bites by stray dogs.
According to Emergency Clinic statistics, from January 1st until now, 112 cases of body injuries caused by bites have been severe and have sought hospitalization at the Infectious Clinic.
The number of cases is on the rise compared to last year, when we recorded 84 such cases. Some of the patients have had life - threatening injuries,” said in USKUK report
The institution appeals to the Pristina municipality and other institutions responsible for a quick solution, stressing that QKUK is a health institution and should not be turned into a country where the lives of citizens are threatened due to bites by stray dogs.
“QKUK is an institution that cares for and provides health services, so it should not endanger the lives of patients, family and other citizens,” points out SHSKUK.
