The 36-year-old told fans that “needs a break” and wanted “to live my new life that I built”.
London-born star announced her engagement during a concert in Munich earlier this month, and earlier said she would make a huge <x0pause” from music after her latest performances.
She's spent the last two years playing a weekend residence at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and has just completed a record set of performances at the Munich Middle Exhibition Centre.
Her work with 10 meetings in Germany sold over 730,000 tickets more than any residence outside Las Vegas and took place at a pop-up stadium with a capacity of over 73,000 ʹ making it the largest temporary arena ever built.
Adele told the audience on her last show Saturday: “I would like to thank you very much for coming to my show this evening, and I would like all those who have come to one of my shows ever (to) thank you very much for coming.
I'm not the most comfortable performer, but I'm very good at it, and I love to perform for almost three years now, which is the longest I've ever done, and probably the longest I'd ever do.
But I got 10 shows left after that, back at my residence (Las Vegas), (because I was bad earlier... so they were late, and of course... this was supposed to be... last. I'm excited it's not like that, because I still have exactly five weeks of shows, (because) they're like weekends and stuff, and 10 shows to do.
And after that, I won't see you for too long and I'll keep you in your heart all over my vacation, and I'm going to be fantasizing about these shows and every show I've had over the last three years.
I really, really keep them at the bottom of my heart forever, it's been great, I just need a break and I spent the last seven years building a new life for myself, and I want to live it now, I want to live my new life that I built. ”
