This witness's testimony is being heard completely at the closed session and no summary as usual is done for witnesses of the Prosecutor, reports the “Justice Battle“.
According to the chairman of the court, Charles Smith III, this witness is witnessing via video connection.
Before continuing with the testimony of this witness, Judge Smith demanded that the SPS request be discussed for the witness with the W04590 code to testify via video connection.
On behalf of the defense of all the accused, Wessel's lawyer, Ann Rowan, said they have no objections to continuing with video connection to this witness, but according to her reasons presented in the request do not meet the relevant criteria of the Order.
After there was no controversy, the judge said the witness testimony of the W04590 witness would also be heard through video connection.
In addition, the chairman of the court said the accused, Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselin and Jakup Krasniqi, have removed from their right to be physically present in the courtroom and that they are conveying the session via video connection. While Rexhep Selimi was physically present in the hall.
The Specialised Prosecutor's Office, on September 30th 2022, has handed over the confirmed amended indictment against Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi, which consists of ten points on charges, where the latter are charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity.
On April 29th 2022, the Specialised Prosecutor's Office had handed over a amended indictment to Hashim Thaci, Kadri Wessel, Rexhepi and Jakup Krasniqi, where four indictees have committed war crimes even in Gjilan, Budakov and Semtish.
On November 9th 2020, in their first appearances, Hashim Thaci's Jakup Krasniqi has been declared innocent of the charges placed on them. Wessel has also been declared in his presentation on November 10th, as has Rexhep Selimi on November 11th.
The incident against Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselin, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi is confirmed on October 26, 2020.
