The Kosovo Health Ministry has again ordered working hours in the country for specific categories -- from August 14th to August 17th -- due to high temperatures facing the country.
The temperatures today are warned to reach 39 degrees, the same will be tomorrow and Friday.
For this reason, the Ministry said that at the request of the National Public Health Institute, he recommended that working hours be changed to avoid working in the hottest hours of the day, from 11: 00 p.m. to 4: 00 p.m.
This decision has been taken in view of the best practices for protecting the health and safety of workers during temperatures of”, the ministry said.
She asked companies to allow workers to start work early in the morning or to work at home if possible.
The decision prohibits construction work in open environments from 11: 00 p.m. to 4: 00 p.m. throughout the country.
At 11:00 p.m. hours, work is forbidden for chronically affected citizens, or they work from home, the decision says.
