Still not known how the supply of textbooks will be made

Less than a month left until the start of the new school year. But it is not yet known how the supply of students with textbooks will be made.

This is because the Ministry of Education has not yet come up with an announcement as to whether parents will be supported or sent books to schools.

Former Deputy Education Minister Dukagjin Pupovci says it is likely to return to educational institutions to books.

And as far as I understand, the Ministry has asked the Municipal Education Director, and those from schools, to make the selections, the schools have sent the lists to the director, I believe the directors have forwarded them to the ministry, that's what I'm suggesting, but I believe that the plan is that the text supply is done as in the past years, the texts are sent back to school”, Povci said.

According to him, this is the best way to supply students with textbooks.

There's been a tradition of buying books from families themselves in Kosovo, considering that Government has a willingness to subsidize, I think solving the subsidy as a last resort is optimistic, but as a first solution, I see the sending of books to school as it happened in past years”, he said.

From the Pedagogic Institute, they have no information yet but say last year's practice had left some students without text.

“E knows that last week a group was formed on the price issue, with text prices defined. The form of distribution is not defined whether we will continue with the practice last year or any other form, but last year some students have been left without text, and guilt has remained untraceable”, says Ismet Pottera.

Tv 1 has sent questions to the Ministry of Education, but no answers to the subject.
