Serbian journalist for opening the bridge: Government is doing it for electoral campaign, I believe NATO allows

Serbian journalist in Kosovo Branislav Krstic has told EO that the majority of northern Serbs are opposed to opening Ibër Bridge in Mitrovica, while saying there are no radical groups that could send to interethnic incidents. He has said that after NATO reactions, he does not believe this [...]
He has said that after NATO reactions, he does not believe this will allow the opening of the bridge at this time.
He has declared that despite the situation, the country is in a position to show that neither a Kosovo citizen has any reason to be concerned about the security situation.
“We need to understand a very necessary thing, that is that we have a kind of limited independence, which means whether executive power, two local assemblies have decisions, had earlier talks with citizens from the north and south, and in the end the decision is a party, if KFOR is handling the bridge opening issue as a matter of security, not as the issue of free movement. Which means we're where we're here, and I think NATO will not allow the opening of the bridge. We now have some messages from the American administration which also insist on executive power waiting for the bridge to open. I don't think there's even a radical group of militants who are going to get us into a time of unrest or ethnic incidents, I'm sure the state will work that way. We are in position to show that no Kosovo citizen has reason to be concerned that in the coming days we will have serious incidents, there is sporadic but they are normal”, he has said.
He has said that following US and NATO reactions, the government will not take steps to open the bridge.
I'm not sure the Government will get on that road, because we know if we don't hear American administration messages, if we don't listen to messages from NATO, I think we'll be ahead of the government's isolation threshold. When we talk from the American administration's skin, they have a thousand opportunities to react against one aggravities. I'm sure we'll have an opportunity for some peaceful protests, and she seems to be a normal situation in the whole world, in a democratic state. But if we prefer to have a democratic state sometimes we must understand even the official position of international authorities and also have to offer something to the Serb community. To Kosovo Serb communities, because even citizens from the country's north are Kosovars is something we lack from the north of the country. We don't even have a reason for concern”, he said.
Krstic has added that the majority of Serbian citizens oppose opening this bridge, as it is wanting to open up with “or”.
He has said that even in the event of its opening, there is no possibility that the security situation is being overcome.
“Most are opposed because they do not yet understand, if anything comes up, it does not go. When we talk about whether there is access to the crossing, not even if the bridge is opened. What do we have? We'll have two moves to the Bosniak and Suhodol neighborhood, nothing more, it's a symbolic opening. Symbolic, which I find to be in the political interest of executive power that they will be ahead of the election campaign to publish that after 25 years we have opened the bridge. For me this is something that is normal from executive power. But if we are undermining this partnership that we have with our allies with unilateral decisions for interests not of all citizens of the state of Kosovo, but of the interests of executive power, it does not go”, he has said.
