Pristina's municipal government has planned that six schools in the capital will be held daily, starting in September of this year. Preparations and renovations in schools are under way. Part of this whole-day teaching project is the Green School in Pristina. The school's director, Besart Ismaili, says they are in the process of preparing for school since September to begin with a daily lesson.
The green school was already ready, we have some little interventions to do. Green school is more of a whole day attitude, it's going to be for kids 1-5 starting at 7:45 first and second classes, while grade 3-4 and 5 will have a slightly longer attitude, preparations have been made, there's only one kitchen left to intervene in it, while in other respects we're co-operative almost on time and all things. The upper cycle will be moved to Eqrem Fabari School, there are few interventions to be made at this school. I think it's a great idea for parents for everybody's community...”, Ismajli told Rtv21.
Education Director Jona Lushaku-Sadriou has said that it is currently being worked on recruiting additional staff for day-to-day learning. She has said that students during the entire day's classes will be offered a dinner meal from Pristina Central Kitchen. In addition, there will be physical development and creativity activities, including yoga, painting, encryption of athletics.
Former Deputy Education Minister Azem Guri, says overhauling the infrastructure is essential for this project to succeed!
The first multi-day lesson should be looked at the possibilities of educational institutions as to how much they meet these conditions and where they meet them, first go with a kind of pilot how it works. But the first to prepare pre-school education institutions for keeping the whole day's learning. Where there are conditions anyway work, but where there are no difficult conditions, school infrastructure should be adjusted so that it can be designed to keep the whole day's learning...”, said Stone
A day - to - day teaching pilot had started seven years ago, but was interrupted in the absence of infrastructure conditions.
