Germany's ambassador to Kosovo, Jorn Rohde, along with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Irina Synelnyk and other ambassadors of the QUINT countries participated in a reception in the National Library of Kosovo, on the occasion of Ukraine's National Day.
During his speech, Rohde, who wore a scarf of Ukrainian colors, expressed Kosovo's strong support for Ukraine since the beginning of Russian aggression.
He stressed that he is proud that Kosovo has been among the first countries to offer constant support to Ukraine, along with European Union countries, despite the fact that Ukraine has not yet recognised Kosovo as a state.
Kosovo citizens have felt the pain of Ukrainian people since the beginning of the war. Pristina has supported Kiev in many forms, including emotional, military support, and providing a safe haven for Ukrainian journalists who were forced to flee their homes because of the war,” said Rohde.
The German ambassador noted that Kosovo's support for Ukraine has extended to many levels, both military and political, citing particularly the housing of Ukrainian journalists in Kosovo.
