SBASK Education Issue Representatives Meeting
Today, the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) has held a meeting with representatives of the United Education, Science and Culture Union (SBASHK). This meeting was aimed at discussing important issues affecting the country's education sector.
The disturbing problem continues to remain the collective contract, which must be signed as soon as it is signed between the government and trade unions, as well as the pension law, where discrimination of Kosovo's Republic of Kosovo workers continues during the 1990s, particularly discrimination against teachers.
The good news from this meeting is that the school year will begin as predicted on September 2nd. However, the problem of managing the education system by the government continues to be a major challenge requiring attention and quick action.
The LDK Parliamentary Group remains committed to supporting efforts to improve the quality of education and address the problems affecting the education system. We will continue to work closely with the SBASK and other relief agents to ensure that the needs of teachers and students are met and that education in Kosovo progress steadily.
