The event took place at night in an apartment north of Rome. The Skifters have entered the house while the owners were in and asleep.
The robbers climbed into the building and managed to break through a window. When the couple woke up, they found the whole house in a mess except for the bedroom.
The victim is believed to be a former RAI parliamentary reporter, Domenico Del Giudice, and his wife, both over 80. Police of the Serbian Commissioner of Ponte Milvio are investigating the case, media reports in question.
The thieves, believed to be Albanians according to the police, managed to climb like aerobates to the third floor of the palace, even though the window blinds were closed, sneaking through.
Evidently, they had preliminary information that the householder owned considerable amounts of money, or they may have observed it.
Then they found the key to the safe from where they got the valuables and the money. Their flight was silent, as the elderly couple failed to feel, as experts hope to discover dattilloscopic traces and toʹi compare with similar crimes or investigative cards.
