The message of President Lumir Abdixhiku on International Missing Day:
Today, we remember 1617 people who continue to disappear about a quarter century after the end of the war. They represent the deepest and most painful plague of our society, a plague that requires justice and the full whiteening of their fate.
The Democratic League of Kosovo reaffirms its steadfast devotion to the cause for whiteling the fate of the missing, as well as stands side by side with their family members in supporting the demand for truth and justice.
The international community, the EU, must keep pressure on the Serbian state high in their agenda so that all those missing, to date, are not known for their fate, are found. There is no doubt that the criminal responsibility knows where those victims are.
The Democratic League of Kosovo also calls for the process of clarifying these cases to intensify, preventing forgetting from clouding the right to truth.
Their fate remains a priority of our unchanged, and a moral obligation towards all Kosovo citizens. ”
