The murder of 89-year-old police at the wedding hall in Ferizaj, what is known so far?

An 89-year-old was killed last night in the courtyard of a wedding hall in the village of Bibaij in Ferizaj. Suspect is a police officer. According to reports, the victim is the uncle of Princeton Sadriu, the husband of President Vjosa Osmani. In the case so far there are two arrested. 

A murder occurred last night in Ferizaj. In the courtyard of a wedding hall, 89-year-old Sadriu was killed. Suspected in the murder is police party Ramadani. The murder was allegedly committed with the official weapon.

The same has been arrested and assigned to the 48-hour detention measure.

The Kosovo Police Inspectorate has provided details. According to the IPK, the event occurred around 7:30.

Based on initial information, The IPK says the allegations are that the alleged police official in this case had gone to this location and had fired gunfire towards the victim, which in the aftermath of the injuries suffered has changed lives.

The same man had surrendered to the police.

The suspect in this case (police official) after committing a crime has been self-designed at Ferizaj Police Station, where he has even handed over the official weapon allegedly used in this case. The suspect has been arrested (and suspended) and with the prosecutor's decision the detention measure has been imposed for 48 hours due to suspicion of criminal activity “heavy murder” under the Penal Code of the Republic of Kosovo”, the IPKU report reported.

Major Qazim Reka in a statement for the media has shown new details concerning the case, adding that the policeman was not in office at the time he committed the murder.

He told reporters that the policeman was not part of the family party, adding that the motives are not yet known.

“polic was not on official duty, outside of official duty, was in civilian clothes and by civilian car did the work at the scene here in front of this bar. The murder was carried out with official weapons. The police officer is F.R. and the victim is S. S... Motives are still unknown. It wasn't part of the family party”, Reka said.

In the case, they were also declared by Ferizaj's Founding Prosecutor. The prosecution's announcement reportedly that the suspect in the case, according to earlier reports allegedly a police official and the same with the State Prosecutor's decision, has been detained in 48 hours because of alleged criminal activity “grave murder”.

“Regional Officers of the Kosovo Police in Ferizaj in co-ordination with Chief Prosecutor of Basic Prosecutors in Ferizaj Mr. Shukri Jashari and the caretaker prosecutor have come to the scene, as well as the medical team has found the victim's death. For other information on the case, the Constitutional Prosecutor at Ferizaj will inform you in time of”, the announcement says.

Regarding the case, the IPK has later announced that another suspect has been arrested.

A suspect has been arrested this evening. Suspects arrested at the prosecutor's decision have been assigned a 48-hour ban due to suspicion of co-ordination of the criminal act “grave murder” under the Kosovo Republic Penal Code”, said in response.
