Iran's attack Monday?
Before a formidable Iranian attack on Israel, GPS use has been cut off in large parts of Israel. The Times of Israel and Ynet news portal reported that not only areas close to the Lebanon border were affected but also areas populated in the centre of the country, citing users.
The positioning system is also used by fears to find their target. Israel is on high alert after Iran threatened revenge for the murder of Hamas' foreign chief, Ismail Haniya. Israel has not yet officially commented on the charges.
Drivers in Israel suddenly saw on their screen that they were in Lebanese capital Beirut, media reports. Even before Iran's major attack with hundreds of rockets and fears in April, the Israeli Army had announced that it had deliberately interrupted the satellite-based positioning system.
In response to a question about the recent destruction of the GPS, the military now answered: “No comment”.
A further indication of a possible imminent attack by Iran and Allied militias in other countries in the region was the arrival of the US Regional Command Commander General Michael Eric Curilla in Israel. That's how the American news portal “Axios” lets you know. Curilla also travelled to Israel shortly before the great Iranian attack in April.
In addition, Israeli journalist Barak Ravid, citing American and Israeli sources, reports that an attack could occur on Monday.
Jordan is trying to mediate
Given the threat of Iranian revenge against Israel, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi travelled to Tehran. Local media reports said he wanted to speak with Iranian incumbent Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kanni to remove the country from the military action company against Israel.
According to official information from Cairo, Egypt's Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel-Attti, in a telephone conversation with Kanni has demanded that all sides exercise calm and content so that the Middle East situation does not get out of control. According to Iranian media reports, Iran has so far rejected all media efforts for mediation.
Beden criticises Hamas leader's murder
According to US President Joe Biden, the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniya in Iranian capital Tehran could make it more difficult to reach a ceasefire agreement and release hostages in the hands of Islamic Hamas. According to the New York Times, Biden answered a relevant question in an interview with journalists, where he said: “This did not help” In a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyah, Biden expressed the view that Chanya's murder came at an inappropriate time, the newspaper reported, quoting an American official.
Sword attack on Tel Aviv area
A Palestinian from the West Coast killed two people and wounded two others with a knife in Israel. A woman died on the street attack scene in the Israeli town of Holon in the largest area of Tel Aviv, said rescue service Magen David Amdom on X. A second victim, a man in his mid-70s, was subjected to severe hospital injuries shortly later, the Times of Israel reported.
According to police, the author was shot. Police forces were searching the city for potential male associates. People have been urged to be careful and vigilant. Israeli right-wing extremist police minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said at the scene that Israel was not only waging war against Iran, but also “here on the street”, as the Times of Israel quoted. At the same time, he confirmed the distribution of weapons to Israelite civilians.
Israel is preparing for war on all fronts
Israeli security forces reportedly are on high alert amid massive threats of attack by his great enemies. Israeli television station Channel 12 reported that attacks threatened by Iran and Lebanese Shiite militia Hezbollah are expected to occur “on several fronts”.
This means that other armed groups of Tehran can participate in aggression against Israel. These include Huth in Yemen and Iran's loyal militia in Iraq and Syria. The Israeli leadership is currently discussing possible answers to such a co-ordinated attack. These included “readiness to enter an inclusive war in this” context, Channel 12.
