This visit has prompted reactions from the opposition, with Democratic League of Kosovo deputy (LDK), Arben Gashi, who has raised several questions about Kurti and Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu
Since Albin Kurti has visited the Kosovo Correcting Service, he has asked his minister:
Why have all these escapes recently taken place?
Why have the prison treatment regulations been changed?
What is the impact of these changes on the escapes that occurred?
How much is organized crime in changing these regulations?
Why can low-security (or half-open) prisons be sent to people who have been left up to 10 years of being sentenced, when there were 2 to 3 years of remaining sentence?
