During this visit, Kurt expressed gratitude for the hospitality and meeting with 16 women who are taking part in the work of raising family well - being.
The prime minister reiterated that families of the missing are high between priorities and in caring for the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
On a joint visit with Deputy Prime Minister Donika Grovalla, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Saranda Boguyevci, Chairman of the Government Commission for Missing Persons, Andy Hoti and Edi Gusia, U.d. Executive Director at the Agency for Gender Equality discussed the future achievements and plans of these self-employment initiatives.
The government has allocated a budget of 500 thousand euros for implementation of this measure for families currently on the pension list for missing persons during the war. The office of prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, through the Agency for Gender Equality, with the Government Commission for Missing Persons, will share subsidies aimed at empowering and independence of women and girls. The application is entitled to physical persons, women or girls who enjoy retirement for missing persons during the war in Kosovo, or a member (wife/daughter) from the close family of people who enjoy retirement for missing persons during the war in Kosovo, who undertake self-employment initiatives from which they employ and provide family well-being and/or income to meet basic needs. The second call for applications is open until September 4th, 2024”, the communiqué says.
