Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi's adviser, Klisman Cadiu, said the measures must be removed immediately and fully.
The “The measures have been unfair since the first day. Keeping these measures in force despite positive recommendation from EU High Representative, Mr. Josep Borrell is already meaningless. It was Mr. Borrell of June 3rd 2023, which set the conditions for imposing measures on Kosovo, which followed the Bratislava agreement, and the former high representative Borrell, who has initially proposed them, has been stating more than a month that all conditions have been met and the measures must be removed. Since the conditions have been fulfilled, there is no need either for gradual removal, nothing less for keeping them, but the complete and constant departure of the” measures, Caddy told RTV21.
A day earlier, EU spokesman Peter Stano said discussions of EU member states in the Council for the High Representative's report on meeting EU requirements from Kosovo are continuing, as he urged Kosovo authorities to refrain from unilateral and uncoordinated steps.
Measures against Kosovo were put behind tensions in the northern part of Kosovo at a time when elected Albanian mayors in four municipalities in the north were sent with the support of Kosovo police in their offices.
