The Kosovo Assembly during the spring session has approved only 1 per cent of the 2024 legislative agenda.
People's elected, separately majority, are being criticised for poor work efficiency and failure to parliamentary supervision. In the ruling party, Vetevendosje Movement argues that during this year, they have had problems with quorum, but they also blame opposition parties.
However, according to them, this legislature as a whole has adopted about 254 laws, which they claim are more than preliminary legislatures.
Researchers at the Kosovo Democratic Institute(KDI), Arber Thaci, tells Kosovo that this session has been among the worst in the eighth legislature in the Assembly.
According to him, as a whole during this session, the parliamentary majority has managed to pass 35 bills, out of which 20 are international agreements and only three are part of the 2024 legislative agenda.
The Parliament's work monitor adds that the people's elected failed in parliamentary supervision of the executive as well as independent agencies that the yoke of Parliament.
Challenges during the Parliament's spring session are also accepted by LVV deputy Armen Munja, but adds that, overall during their term, more laws have been passed than in preliminary legislatures.
Criticising the majority for failing to fulfill the legislative agenda addressed opposition parties this week as well.
The Kosovo Assembly closed the spring session on July 31st, while MPs are expected to return from holiday in the second week of September.
