Of all, Kosovo is estimated to have the lowest population decline, from 1,709000 to 1,647,000, which is only 3.6 per cent contraction.
Albania and Bosnia will have the largest population contraction in percentage points, but Serbia will register the biggest decline in absolute value.
Albania is estimated to have 20.2 per cent population contraction, from 2,822000 to 2,251,000.
Meanwhile, Serbia, according to the UN, will mark the largest contraction in 2050. Of the 6,788000 inhabitants as long as years, there will be 5,554000 so 1.2 million fewer inhabitants or contractions of 18.2 percent, Radio Free Europe reported.
Bosnia and Herzegovina, from 3,194,000 to 2,469000 residents, 22.7 percent less. Northern Macedonia will have 1,519000 residents in 2050, instead of 1,836,000, as it currently has. And Montenegro from 68,000 to 535,000 people.
From 16,977,000, the population in the Western Balkans in 2050 under the UN will be 13,975,000.
