Kosovars' deposits increased to 6.26 billion euros

Deposits of Kosovo citizens are continuing to grow through commercial banks. The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo reports that customer deposits in July 2024 have reached the value of 6.26 billion euros, marking increases for 120.79m euros, or 1.97% compared to the previous month.
The value of new loans in July 2024 was 228.8m euros, while the average interest rate in loans in July 2024 was 6.17% (in June was 6.12%).
“The value of new deposits in July 2024 was 164.4m euros. The average interest rate in deposits in July 2024 was 3.04% (in June 2024 was 2.89%)”, the CEC reported.
The interest rate margin on credit and deposits in July 2024 was 3.12% (from 3.23% in June). The credit-deposit report in July 2024 was on the 86.24% level.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo reports that the total capital of commercial banks at the end of July 2024 amounted to 906.39m euros, while credit revenues amounted to 0.18m euros, or 0.112% compared to the previous month, amounting to 144.01m euros.
“The assets of commercial banks at the end of July 2024 have reached the value of 7.66 billion euros, marking growth for 0.85% compared to the previous month, mainly due to the increased gross loans, which at the end of July have reached 5.39 billion euros. Compared to the previous month's gross loans in July 2024 have increased to 47.89m euros, or 0.90%”, the CEC reports.
