After KFOR, KSF engages in prevale fire extinguishing

Fires have been activated on the prevala. Citizens and foresters have tried to extinguish the fires in the morning hours, but it is reported that they have reached very close to the inhabited area.

By 12 o'clock in Prevale, a fire truck has arrived, but according to residents there is insufficient.

Later in the day, KFOR helicopter intervention has been seen.

KFOR has declared their intervention only after the Kosovo authorities' request for assistance.

As long as the afternoon has been seen mobilizing the Kosovo Security Forces that joined residents and firefighters to stop the fires in Prevalla.

Residents and hotel representatives are calling for an intervention as soon as possible because they believe that residential objects are being endangered.

“We call on the institutions and firemen from all areas, that even these guys are very tired, and they're coming and helping us. Because another spirit has begun and the flame stops nothing. It's a dangerous house, just meters away from the fire. It's probably a full entrance here, and it burns all the villas. We appeal to KFOR institutions to come to help us”, said about RTK at Burim Salauka, deputy chairman of the Kosovo Oda and Hotelie.

Despite smoke and flames, there were hundreds of visitors in Prevale on Saturday.

Fires are close to villas and businesses, but they are currently not endangered.

Prevala for ten days is facing fires.
