The Israeli Army has said on Tuesday it has launched the troops of six hostages taken up by Hamas militants on October 7th in southern Israel, which has been promoting the war in Gaza.
Hamas is a group leading Gaza, declared terrorist organisation by the United States and the European Union.
The military has said through a statement Tuesday that its forces have deployed troops along a night-long operation in southern Gaza.
The military has said the troops of Jagev Buchshtub, Alexander Dancyg, Avraham Munderi, Yoram Metzger, Nada Popplewell, and Haim Perry, not to mention when or how they died.
This operation has been carried out as the United States, Egypt and Qatar are trying to mediate a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, which could result in the release of dozens of hostages held by Hamas.
Hamas is still believed to hold about 110 hostages caught in the October 7th attack.
Israeli authorities estimate that about a third of them have died.
As a result of the October 7th attack, the Israeli army has launched military offensives in Gaza with the intent of destroying Hamas.
More than 40,000 Palestinians have been killed since then, according to local authorities in Gaza. / REL
