He was asked there by reporters for closing Serbia's nine branch office in the north, which was criticised by internationals.
Svechla said it is normal what Kosovo institutions are doing.
“What Kosovo institutions are doing is very normal. They had no license”, Svechla said.
Svechla also spoke of the opening of the Ibër Bridge, which is not being supported by internationals.
“The bridge will be opened, there is no reason not to open. Now, when it opens it's an expert assessment issue”, he said.
Yesterday Deputy Police Director in the North Veton Elshani confirmed the closure of nine branches of Serbia's Post in the North.
He said she had operated without licenses and that they were not registered at ARBK.
After a letter/informs received by ARKEP, Kosovo's territory operates economic operators without license and unregistered in ARBK, police units have gone to verify this information. The information has proved to be correct with the case police have notified the state prosecutor. After verifying the actual situation in these facilities, we have come to the conclusion that they have no licenses and are not registered, so they have been consulted with the Prosecutor and closed for further investigation by the Directorate against Economic Crimes”, Elshani said.
Discussions about the bridge have been currentised in recent months, following calls to the Northern Mitrovica Municipal Assembly for the bridge to be fully opened for circulation. The ruling Vetevendosje Movement leads this municipality in northern Kosovo.
After him, the Government of Kosovo has started consultations with its international partners for the reconstruction of the bridge and has presented a plan for it.
However, the QUINT states have rejected the government's plan.
The United States' Ambassador to Pristina, Jeffrey Havenier, has said Friday that the QUINT and NATO countries do not support the opening of the bridge.
