“Some UH-60M helicopters Black Hawk and more than 100 personnel were deployed in Texas for approximately 30 days of additional training before leaving for Kosovo for 11 months in support of the NATO peacekeeping mission”, the report said.
“Operation Joint Guardian is a joint mission under the United States European Command. Soldiers will focus on training and supporting Allied partners”.
It is the first time since 2003 that this entity has been deployed in the Western Balkans. The last time he was in the region, this battalion was in Bosnia and Herzegovina period 2002-2003 for a humanitarian aid mission.
