Haziri: LDK is for opening the bridge, Kurti has a hidden political agenda

LDK Deputy Chairman Lutfi Haziri said the government is playing political games and political manipulation with warnings of opening the bridge over the Iber River.

Hziri criticised Government for taking uncoordinated actions in the country's north, putting the reports with Kosovo allies at risk.

According to him, partnership with the international community is oxygen for Kosovo and said Prime Minister Kurti has a hidden political agenda.

A co-ordination with the EU and NATO is necessary. For Kosovo this partnership is political oxygen. The European identity of the Kosovo Albanians is thanks to these friends, these partners and should in no way be endangered for the political folly of the day, for internal political consumption and for electoral needs in this country. We must continue promoting only cooperation and co-ordination with our allies. The process is not the goal of opening the bridge, but it is only intended for this to return as an internal debate for Kosovo's citizens to shift full attention from everyday problems and issue demands for the opening of the”, Haziri told RTV21.

Deputy Chairman Haziri said the LDK is for opening the bridge over the Iber River for vehicle flow.

“The LDK is for opening the bridge. The LDK will apparently have it in its power to make Mitrovica's full integration in the near future, because this Government is risking that in the river Iber not open to cars, but also closing for citizens. If KFOR comes out tomorrow by heavy means and puts the wire on the Iber River because of the Government's mistakes, then you ask me whether you are about opening or closing”, Haziri said.

While, in terms of inspections the Government is conducting on the LDK's deputy chairman, Lutfi Haziri, said they were done on NATO and KFOR permits.

According to him, on the same day KFOR commander has notified the Serbian Army commander of testing the Ibri Bridge.

The technical inspection “has been made at the request, the Government of Kosovo on its territory, in its own country by bringing sovereigns to it. NATO and KFOR to make the technical inspection of its bridge. This request was approved, and on the same day KFOR commander has been in Belgrade since the Serbian Army commander announced that the Kosovo government is doing technical inspections of the bridge. This is what Mr. Kurti continues to have a hidden political agenda, it doesn't dawn on people, it doesn't explain and manipulate the news”, Haziri said.
