Haliti: KFOR puts stones back on the Ibër Bridge after half an hour

Democratic Party of Kosovo deputy X0>, Xhavit Haliti, has sharply criticised Prime Minister Albin Kurti for failing to co-ordinate internationals over the opening of Ibër Bridge in Mitrovica.

During the week, inspections have been conducted on the Ibër Bridge by Kosovo authorities, with the aim of opening it for vehicle flow. However, the QUINT and United States countries have expressed reservations about this step, stressing that they do not support the opening of the bridge at this moment.

The KFOR peacekeeping mission has warned that it is willing to take all necessary measures to prevent any development that could affect regional security and stability.

Haliti has stressed that Kurti's failure to co-ordinate with the internationals could lead to new measures towards Kosovo.

Haliti has warned that if Kosovo police try to challenge KFOR and implement political orders for the opening of the bridge, Kosovo could face serious economic and political consequences.
