O The EU congratulates them, Zogiani attacks: Following the resignation of two Board members called for responsible RTK report

Equipped with party litres as iron immunity certificate of responsibility, RTK director Riley Gervalla, excited without any consequence following the publication of false news against Nacional and Periscope received by record Bosnian media for false news like “Slobodna Bosna”; this event that produced four high-level resignations in RTK who possessed a professional conscience.

“O The SEU underlines the importance of accountability and transparency for preserving public confidence in RTK and its commitment to impartial and responsible media reporting and public broadcasting”, requested by this international organisation.

“It is now necessary for the Kosovo Assembly to elect new members of the RTK board as top priority once the board is met so that the board can function again. The appointment of new board members and a new general director must be transparent and clearly based on merit”.

Boletin Confession

Since that news of “Slobodna Bosna”, showed Boletini, “The article had violated professional standards, there was no room in RTK, it had to be removed from the web site, it had to be apologized, and all involved should be suspended.”.

The ad-hoc commission that was formed to investigate professional and ethical violations in that ]raportim ordered by Riley Grovalla found a mountain of them, but to be left without any record. Why? Because Adi Krasta sclayed, told Bolletini on his resignation notice.

“The findings of the commission report were clear. Since August 9th, Deputy Director Adi Krasta (who has the principal's responsibilities) is not addressing this report. Being at the head of the public broadcaster is also a privilege for one day and responsibility. As it is seen, he has no will to take action against those who caused the scandal”.

“We as a board had in charge the suspension of Albanian-language channel director Riley Gervalla and to clarify the situation well for final decision. This was made impossible by the other three members, opposed to that measure (Albulena, Dardan and Radojica)”, Boletini further explained..

Here Boletini told me that the situation in RTK had become “Indisposed”.

“So in the circumstances when: The violations are evident and witnessed, and the board was deceived by editorial staff; The deputy director who has the principal's responsibilities does not take measures; The attempt to appoint an U.d. taking precautions is tied, and the further attitude is ineffective and meaningless”, he said.

Even board member Arta Berisha, who resigned, gave the situation as unaffordable and tolerable further; hence, giving up.

“Being a supporter of professional standards in journalism, which I have fully respected as an active journalist, whether as a member of the RTK Board, it has been unacceptable for me that violators of professional standards pass without punishment under RTK regulations.“.

“The RTK Commission's report is clear and shows that in the last case, publishing an unverified and initially broken text by another medium has been violated by the professional standards of journalism, worse yet: the board has been lied to. That's unattended to me. I hope the practice of impunity does not return to RTKIt's all over.
