Development comes after the French president said that “has no political motive” for the ban on Pavel Durov on Saturday at an airport near Paris.
Musk's technology tycoon has asked Macron to shed light on the motives of the director's arrest and founder of the known Russian network Telegram at Paris-Le Bouget Airport.
The court has twice extended its detention period and have only said the verdict is part of a wide criminal investigation into a person, unappointed”.
“It would be good for the global public to understand more details about the reasons for this arrest”, Musk wrote below a Macron post on the X (formerly Twitter) network.
Yesterday the French leader denied to have political motives for stopping Durov, insisting that the arrest was part of a broader judicial investigation, and that the court will decide.
Durov said earlier that he was put under pressure from the United States, adding in an interview with Tucker Carlson that when he was in the U.S. he was pursued by the FBI and other agencies at all times.
The 39-year-old Russian reportedly also has French citizen, United Emirates, and mini-states, St. Kitts and Nevis, while the charges relate to his telegram network, preferred by users since there are no censorship on the issues conflict with our own Western Narrative policies.
In July, Durov wrote that the number of active users on his network had reached 1 billion.
