The government of the Republic of Kosovo, in 14.08.2024, has fired the Board of Directors of the CRU “Hedrodrin”, Peja, under the proposal of Minister Rizvanol with the argument that the Board of Directors has violated financial duties and that the minister has lost credibility of decision making.
This decision came two weeks after the board had fired Chief Chief Executive D. Cena because of legal violations, suspected fraud and failure to establish strategic goals, all recorded in the decision to release him from office. Immediately after the dismissal, all violations have been denounced in economic crimes with suspicion of misuse of official office, as the Criminal Procedure Code envisions. One of the most important is the suspicion of financial mirrors fraud, which is later described as contrary to the National Audition Office. All violations of the chief chief has been repeatedly announced by the economy ministry. On March 13th, 2024, the minister had asked the board to co-operate with the chief chief, underestimate our remarks, and warned the board's dismissal if it does not reflect.
We had taken the government's confidence in the promise to reduce water loss, to deal with abuses, crime, corruption, nepotism and under the goal of developing the company, which was also the governing motto of this government. We remained loyal to this cause for 18 months while we were in the role of overseer, but we could no longer continue with tolerance toward autocratic, fraud, and abuse. With full conviction, dignity and determination, the board took a unanimous stand to address abuses in question according to its legal obligation and competence to act institutionally.

The chief chief had taken power from the start by the two ministers of this government: A. Rizvanol and E. Krasniqi, with whom there are close friendly reports. The underlying reasons and interests among them remain to be exposed in the future by responsible investigations.
