The Judiciary Council at an emergency meeting today brought a decision to form a Commission that will state the real situation regarding decisions adopted by the Constitutional Criminal Court Skopje, while in connection with the case of Blerim Ramadani, who fled home arrest until the ongoing procedure for extradition was followed.
Judiciary Council Chairman Vesna Dameva, at the start of today's 495 emergency session, stated that officially for none of these cases has been announced, but the Judiciary Council is tasked with reacting after the information achieved.
I consider it necessary as the first person of the Judiciary Council to form a commission and establish the actual situation in this regard and come up with concrete information before the opinion. Something was happening. The court is to blame, not to blame, not to judge. The Judiciary Council's reaction at this moment, according to its competence, is to investigate the situation”, Dameva said.
The commission consists of the co-ordinator of the Constitutional Criminal Court Skopje, Judge Aleksandar Kambovski, Judiciary Council Deputy Chairman Hanif Zendeli and Judiciary Council member Pavel Crvenkovska.
After the implementation of the situation, the Commission is obliged to prepare a report which it will hand over to the Judiciary Council, and for which the Judiciary Council will further discuss and establish”, Dameva said, AlsatM reports.
Former Member of KLA, Blerim Ramadani from Kosovo, who had been arrested at the Kosovo border with Macedonia last month under an Interpol warrant issued at Serbia's request, escaped from house arrest by his family's home in the country.
The competent judicial authority has handed over documentation to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for providing central arrest to the person B.R. Because he is currently unavailable for the law enforcement forces. MPB is taking steps to locate the person, confirmed by MPB for MIA.
Ramadani, on the basis of Serbia's international arrest of Interpol, was arrested at thezhinca border and sent to the Shutka prison for 30 days of extradition detention. The contents of the arrest are based on Serbia's allegations that Ramadani, a former KLA soldier, has committed war crimes in the Nerodime region.
The competent North Macedonia court on August 1st has changed Ramadan's sentence from “to “house arrest” and, according to the decision, has been sent to an address in Skopje. With this decision it was designed to stay at “house arrest” until 16 August.
