Citaku: After the indictment was filed for Nagip Krasniqi, PDK seeks investigation into energy mafia

Kosovo Democratic Party Secretary-General Vlora Citaku, after the establishment of the indictment against former KEK chief Nagip Krasniqi for misuse of the official position, has called for accountability from all the acters involved in the scandal. Citaku, at a media conference, said the PDK gives full support to justice bodies, which have taken over the discovery of millions of abuses in the last three years in the field of energy.

All senior officials, ministers and ambassadors, under whose observation the scandals have occurred, have not resigned. Therefore, today, the Democratic Party of Kosovo requires full accountability and responsibility from all the acts involved not only in these scandals, but in all of which still require answers -- energy, state reserves, non-declaration of wealth, diplomatic scandals etc.”, she said.

According to Chitak “Nagip Krasniqi's arrest is the tip of an iceberg, in which they are deeply rooted in the important exhibits of this power, which resemble an Energetic Mafia”.

“Let's not forget, in the period when this government has cost electricity to 100 per cent of our citizens, are the two good friends of Prime Minister Kurti, who came to leadership positions through the favour of the Vetevendosje Movement, Nagip Krasniqi and Ambassador Martin Berisha, as the top suspects in a clean regional scandal of massive corruption, with trade of energy”, she stressed.

Citaku recalled numerous cases of abuse by current power and the raising of charges against his officials, saying that before law and justice, no one dares be immune.

The Constitutional Court in Pristina yesterday has confirmed the indictment for failing to report property to Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora and the country's deputy prime minister, Donika Grovall. Now, tell us, how else can we call it a power, except corrupt, that no month goes by without a major scandal in abuse of official duty. One more time, remember: All these people, many others who have been deluding over the years on the news of scandals, no one has called out”, she said.
