Under the Law for General Elections, the political parties registered in Kosovo, which want to participate in elections through the coalition, have to report to the CEC as of August 30th this year.
Thus has CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi, who also said the coalition could be built by at least two political parties, and the political party cannot back down after it is certified, until the results of the elections are certified.
“The coalition can be built by at least two political parties, and the political party cannot withdraw from the coalition once certified, until the election results are certified. Also, the political party that is a coalition member cannot participate as a member in another coalition or as a particular political party in the same” elections, he told Klan.
“also, until August 30th, 2024 is the deadline for political parties to report the CEC, the Office for Recording, Certificate and Financial Control of Political Subjects, respectively, that they do not want to be certified for participating in the election”, he has said further.
