The commander of the capital's fire department, Malke Gashi, has declared that fire crews have been sent to the scene to intervene.
He has stressed that the fire has been going on for several days and that due to the nature of waste, water extinction is insufficient.
To help clean up waste and fire control, a private bank company has been engaged.
Gashi has announced that so far there has been no damage at home, but there has been great environmental pollution and vegetable matches.
There's still no clear information about the cause of the fire.
In terms of intense heat and temperatures above the 35 degrees Celsius Kosovo is experiencing, many fires have been created, and fire departments are facing difficulties in some areas. To help extinguish the flames, KFOR's help has been sought.
