Broken trees and car injuries, view after heavy storm in several cities in Albania

After a few days of very high temperatures, Albania was engulfed by hailstorms that caused damage to roads and agriculture in certain areas.

In Tirana because of the strong wind and the storm accompanied by heavy hail, traffic was created on several roads and broken tree branches were not lacking. Also in some of the major cities, such as Durres, Elbasan, and Korca, heavy rainfall occurred on Monday afternoon, causing flood problems, as was the case in Bulqiza.

In Elbasan hail showers broke several trees in the city, damaging several vehicles.

Due to strong wind and heavy rainfall, there were problems in Maliq, as certain poplars, who have blocked circulation and the fire service needed to normalise the movement by moving trees, collapsed on the main road.

In Himara electricity was cut off because of bad weather and torrential waters that flooded the streets. During this week the weather is forecast to be unstable, and thunderstorms can be returned even during Thursday and Friday.
