In his first interview since leaving the presidential race last month, Biden said he has no faith in Trump and what he says.
Trump's comment in March that it would be “a bloodshed for the country” if he loses the election while talking about the automotive industry, caused a wave of criticism.
The Democrats rushed to repeat their message that the former president poses a threat to democracy. Biden's campaign used the “bay blood comment” in an ad posted on its social media accounts, and a spokesman accused Trump of encouraging and excuseing political violence.
However, Trump's campaign said the comment was particularly about the automotive industry and was deliberately out of context.
“They fully understood that I was simply referring to imports allowed by Joe Beden, who are killing the automotive industry”, Trump wrote on social media.
Beden has earlier expressed concern that his former rival would not accept the election outcome. During the presidential debate on CNN in June, Trump was directly asked whether he would accept the results of the 2024 elections.
“If they are fair, legitimate and good choices, absolutely,” he replied by not continuing with the answer.
