Kosovo police have held a police action in the north of the country last night, where they closed five items of illegal municipalities. The action drew sharp remarks from allied states in Kosovo.
To that end, LDK MP Hykmete Bajrami has reacted, who said that as deputy she is obliged to remain loyal to the country's truth and interests, saying Prime Minister Albin Kurti is wrong.
Albin Kurti is wrong. His actions are not extending sovereignty to the north. That three and a half years of Kurti having not had a single outcome in the economy, justice, education and health, has created scenes in the north, turning almost all the allies against us. These actions have been condemned by our international partners constantly, isolated us, put us under sanctions and minimized the support Kosovo has worked for so hard. Today, the Kosovo government has subsequently been left unattended”.
She said that while Kurti is being presented as “patriotos” in the north of the country, Kosovo turned against the allies, while Serbia's agreement with France to buy combat aircraft and saw as a result of Kosovo Government's behaviour.
“Meanwhile, Kurti is represented as “patriot” through these”acitions”, giving Serbia a chance and Vuciqi to take advantage of these behaviors, rehabilitate Serbia's image and strengthen its military capacities. The recent Serbia-French agreement on buying combat aircraft worth 2.8 billion euros is a direct consequence of our government's irresponsible behaviour. Just look at this agreement to understand where Serbia is today and where Kosovo is. This is not just a diplomatic failure, it's a strategic disaster”.
The truth however bitter and unpopular it should be said aloud, Bajrami says.
The “Kurti is leading Kosovo towards a dangerous road and it's not just about isolation here. Today in times of crisis and security fragility is clear more than any other time we need co-ordination with allies, because KFOR is responsible for security in that part of the country. Why is this so hard to understand?
The republic needs leadership that prioritizes its stability, security and international position. It is time to restore our alliances, rebuild diplomatic relations and ensure that Kosovo remains a respected member of the international community. Our future depends on this, and we should not rest until we have a government that puts the interests of the state ahead of those of the” party.
