Ruge has held a meeting with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani today, where they have discussed recent developments, including the opening issue of the Ibër Bridge, broadcast Telegrafi.
He wrote in a post at “X” that NATO is proud to have offered a safe and secure environment for all in Kosovo for 25 years.
As for the opening of the Ibër Bridge, he has reaffirmed that decisions should be made in a coordinated manner.
“In the Bridge on Iber, I underlined NATO's view that decisions should come through dialogue and co-ordinated”, he wrote, until he made calls to have unilateral actions that could create tensions.
Otherwise, opening the Ibër Bridge is one of the most controversial topics in the country.
Despite international objections to the opening of this bridge, the Kosovo government remains determined that the bridge should be opened, and preparations for its opening have begun for days now, where it has already completed testing for the infrastructure stability of the bridge.
Although agreements and agreement were reached over the years, invested in its infrastructure, as well as opening for pedestrian circulation, Ibri's bridge continues to be blocked for vehicles.
The EU has asked for an additional step, a new discussion in the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
