Washington has announced a new 111m-euro military aid package for Ukraine.
The US Department of Defence said additional aid was aimed at meeting Kiev's “most urgent needs, including air defence skills, ammunition for missile systems and artillery and antitank weapons.
The US president spoke with Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, while the aid was announced and reaffirmed the steadfast “ ” of America for Kiev, the White House said, Sky News reported.
“Ukraina needs critical weapons supply from the announced packages, especially additional air protection systems for the reliable protection of cities, communities and critical infrastructure”, Zelensky said in a statement following his office's call.
