Police said officers conducted four raids as part of an investigation into alleged crimes, including trafficking of human beings and sex with a minor.
Tate, 37, who describes himself as a midogence, has won millions of fans, especially among boys and young people, promoting an ultra-male lifestyle that often denigrates women, writes The Guardian, broadcasts the Express newspaper.
Last year he and his brother Tristan were accused of trafficking in human beings, rape and formation of a criminal gang for sexual exploitation of women, charges they denied. The Romanian brothers and women are awaiting trial and denying charges against them.
On Wednesday, Romania's organised crime prosecution unit Diicot said its officers conducted four house raids in Ilfov County and Bucharest City Hall.
He said the investigation involved a <x0 criminal case in connection with the commission of crimes committed by an organised criminal group, trafficking of minors, trafficking of human beings, sex with a minor, impact of statements and money laundering”.
Some armed police wearing black hoods were photographed on Tate's property.
Tate's representatives confirmed that the officers had raided the brothers ' house. In a statement, a spokesman said: “although claims in the warrant have not yet been fully clarified, they include doubts about human trafficking and money laundering. The brother's legal team is present to ensure that all formalities are properly carried out”.
In July, a Romanian appeals court overturned an earlier decision allowing Tate's free movement within the European Union while awaiting trial.
Tate, a former driver who has 9.9 million followers in X, has repeatedly confirmed that prosecutors have no evidence against him and that there is a political plot to silence him.
He had previously been banned from various social media platforms for expressions of mysogenous views and hate speech.
