Dangerous President Osmani's Call for Media Investigations
The Association of Kosovo Journalists AGK considers it a dangerous and unacceptable precedent to call Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani for media investigations, especially the National newspaper and its leaders, Berat Buzhala.
A public post today, the president on at least two occasions calls on, both security and justice bodies, to investigate the media in question, after publishing a news about the murder of a person at Ferizaj last night. Moreover, the repeated charge that the media work for Serbia is unacceptable, and more dangerous when it comes from the head of state.
The AGK, invites President Osmani to address the Kosovo Council of Written Media complaint to the eventual dissatisfactions with the report. It is the method of respecting the Code of Ethics, especially for tragic events, to do their job by offering facts and evidence about the circumstances of the event.
