Kosovo police have announced that the police operation conducted in northern Kosovo has ended with the disruption of illegal activities and the closure of five illegal municipalities in northern Kosovo, as they are;
Kosovo's Kosk Mitrovica,
- Mitrovica's illegal community,
- The illegal Zvecan Community,
- The illegal Zubin Potok municipality and
- The illegal Leposavich municipality.
The quality of material evidence has confiscated documentation, technological equipment, and relevant evidence that connects with illegal activities exercised by illegal structures in these facilities.
Also during the implementation of police duties in an operation divided into hospital surveillance facilities in northern Mitrovica, Kosovo police have found and seized; a military jacket, a hand bag, several rounds of circular bullets, two knives and the ring-to-lock of the hunting gun.
The entire police operation was carried out in co-operation and co-ordination with justice bodies, as it ended in the evening hours without any incident or chance to isolate itself, while further investigative procedures will continue from the relevant police units under competent prosecution authorisation.
Maintaining order and public security, implementing institutions and law decisions professionally, effectively and efficiently, as well as providing security to all citizens indiscriminately, remains the duty and continued dedication of the Kosovo Police.
