Tahiri: Convinced that we will win in three battles for KPM and KKP laws, as well as for ruling UP's statute

The chief of the PDK Parliamentary Group, Abelard Tahiri, has said they have sent the laws for the Independent Commission for Media and the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council to Kosovo, as well as the decision on the Pristina University statute because they are contrary to the country's Constitution. He, at a conference [...]
He, at a news conference, has stressed that the government is trying to stop the free speech of the media, capture the prosecutorial system, and deny the rights of the UP's academic staff.
We have prosecuted three new battles at the Constitutional Court of Kosovo, The PDK considers that the last three initiatives adopted in the Kosovo Assembly -- two of them laws and one of them a decision -- are in full opposition to the Kosovo Constitution and the country's constitutional spirit”.
We consider that through this law the work of free media is intended to control and to violate free speech in our country, even the physical persons who produce their own containers”.
Also, there is the Law for the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council through this law current power is aiming to capture the prosecutorial system, subsequently the prosecution body that is in charge of fighting organised crime and corruption. The third issue is the decision on the University of Pristina statute, through this we consider that the Government has denied rights to academic staff, is the initiative that conflicts with the Constitution”, Tahiri has said.
Tahiri has declared that they expect the winners to emerge from this process that has begun: “We expect these three cases to be won and earned rights in our country, we are convinced we will win in these three battles like PDK”.
