In a report on the page of the EU Office in Kosovo on Facebook, it is said that at its meeting with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, Ambassador Szunyog has thanked them for their co-operation and has reaffirmed the EU's steadfast commitment to supporting Kosovo on its path towards the EU.

He is also said to have met with Chief Parliamentary Glauk Konjufca, expressing gratitude for their co-operation over the years. “Ambassador Szunyog reiterated the importance of adopting laws that comply with European standards to help Kosovo progress on its path to the EU”, the report said.

During farewell meeting with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Szunyog has reportedly thanked the prime minister for co-operation and has reconfirmed the EU's role as a stable and irreplaceable partner for Kosovo. “It encouraged acceleration of reforms needed for Kosovo's EU path”, the report said.

Ambassador Szunyog has reportedly bid last goodbye to even Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi, thanking him for co-operation on core issues involving European integrations. “He stressed that Kosovo's European path passes through EU-launched dialogue, the only practical platform for addressing outstanding questions”, says the report.

Finally, at the meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Emilia Rexhepi, Szunyog has reportedly expressed gratitude for good co-operation during his mandate. “He stressed the importance of fully respecting human rights and the rights of non-US communities for Kosovo's progress on the road to the EU”, the report said.
