In his request for protection of legitimacy, Mr. Mustafa raised five points, related to the translation of the Albanian-language appeals act, his guilty plea for murder as a war crime, as well as the measure of condemnation. ”
Specialised Chambers in The Hague have announced that his request has been partially approved and that part of the appeals act dealing with Mustafa's 22-year prison sentence has been cancelled.

The Supreme Court's “Panel partially approved his request and annulled part of Mr. Mustafa to 22 years in prison. The Supreme Court panel retorted the case to the Appeals Panel in accordance with the 194ʹ1 rule of the Order to consider lowering the sentence based on the reasoning presented in the Supreme Court's decision. ”
